Due to a move to Northumberland, Alan Hayward has stood down as Arena Chairman.
Arena is always looking for talented photographers to join its ranks. This year we have been very fortunate to have four outstanding artists join the group.

Arena is pleased to announce the 2008 Arena Annual Seminar, to be held 16th -18th May 2008 at the Riviera Hotel in Bournemouth. Now in its 22nd year, the seminar will continue the tradition of a weekend of photographic excellence and inspiration.
Work from a number of Arena's members is featured in 'Portfolio One', the splendid new coffee table book just published by the Royal Photographic Society.
Tim Rudman's original book on Lith printing, The Master Photographer's Lith Printing Course, is still universally recognised as the number one authoritative work on the subject of Lith printing, exploring the process's unique ability to produce either strongly graphic or exquisitely delicate prints that respond beautifully to toning. Since it was first published, in 1998, the techniques revealed and explained have gone on to attract an ever growing number of followers, and Tim is largely credited with the current popularity of this creative technique.

Tony and Eva Worobiec's new book "Icons of the Highway- A Celebration of Small Town America" is due for publication by AAPPL in March 2008. This will be Eva's second and Tony's eighth book to date.
Tony Worobiec's current book "Black and White Photography in The Digital Age", (co-authored with Ray Spence), has completely sold out in hard-back and is only now available as softback. It is also to be published in both Spanish and Chinese.
