Past Exhibition AtGuildford House
Rounding off a busy year for Arena is our third exhibition in 2008, to be held at the Guildford House Gallery 22 November 2008 to 3 January 2009.
This is our second visit to the Guildford House Gallery following on from a very successful exhibition in 2004. As with our earlier exhibitions at IPG and Salisbury, this exhibition is a further opportunity to see some of the work featured in our new book �Arena Portfolios�. Some 15 members from the 25 that make up Arena will be displaying work -

Trevor Crone gives an illustrated talk on 'Black and White Panoramic Photography'.
Friday 28 November 2008 - 1pm in the Brew House
Free Lunchtime talk.
Dave Mason gives an illustrated talk on 'Urban Street Photography'. His talk will be based around the urban environment with a selection of images displaying Dave Mason's personal take of street photography incorporating design practices and the more random approach. He will also look at urban details and cameos that are often overlooked by the passer by on our streets. The images will be both monochrome and colour and display his personal approach to recording and making sense out our busy urban environment.
Friday 28 November 2008 - 10am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4pm
Dave Mason will steward the exhibition and talk to visitors about Arena and his own work. It is not necessary to book to meet Dave Mason - just turn up.
Tuesday 2 December 2008 - 1pm in the Brew House
Free Lunchtime Talk.
Mary and Vic Attfield will give a joint illustrated talk entitled 'Moments' showing about 50 monochrome prints.
The talk will cover their attitudes to looking for pictures and reacting to what they see, as well as conveying moods and feelings in photographs. Their philosophy about the human interest side of their work will be a main strand of their talk. Another aspect will be taking photographs in different situations and the use of light and weather conditions. They will explain how they work with the minimum of equipment.
In the course of their talk they will bring out the similarities and differences in their approaches to taking pictures.
Tuesday 2 December 2008 - am and pm
Mary and Vic Attfield will steward the exhibition between 10.30am and 11.45am and then again from 2.15pm to 3.15pm and talk to visitors about Arena and their own work. It is not necessary to book to meet Mary and Vic Attfield - just turn up.
Thursday 4 December 2008 - 1pm
Colin Westgate gives a demonstration on "How I use Photoshop in producing my photography".
Friday 5 December 2008 - 1pm
Harry Cundell leads a guided tour 'Around Arena with Harry Cundell' looking at the photography on display in the exhibition
