Provisional Programme For 2008 Seminar Announced

The Arena seminar is famed for the quality of speakers that we attract. Once again, we are pleased to announce that we have another inspirational line-up of speakers booked for the 2008 Arena seminar.

At present, we have provisionally booked the following acclaimed photographers –

Mark Power

Magnum member and Professor of Photography at the University of Brighton, Mark Power makes a welcome return to Arena. Well know for his monographs including ‘The Shipping Forecast’, he has two new books due to be published in 2008; ‘The Sound of Two Songs - Poland 2004-2008’, and ‘A-380’, about the development of the worlds' largest passenger airplane.

David Scheinmann

David Scheinmann is a London based photographer, commercials director and film-maker with UK European and US representation. As a film maker he has directed over 30 music videos and commercials and in 2005 completed his first feature film as director. His work in both photography and film has received a host of industry awards, and his limited edition photography is in numerous private collections.

Kay Halliwell-Sutton

Kay is a well known for her portrait, wedding advertising photography. A passionate photographer, she has won many awards for her wedding photography, including UK Wedding Photographer of the Year from the BIPP.

Dave Mason

One of Arena's newer members, Dave Mason's work is street photography for the 21st Century. Working digitally and in colour, his keenly seen and quickly taken pictures show that decisive moment photography is alive and kicking.

Tony and Eva Worobiec

Tony and Eva will be well known to Ufton regulars. Tony has authored several books on photographic techniques, and together they wrote the acclaimed 'Ghosts in the Wilderness' in 2003. They are currently working on a sequel to be published in 2008, and the talk will feature many images from the new book.
